Website Modernization is the act of modernizing a website so that it's browser, operating system, and language are cross platform compatible. We at Dayton Web Design are using this term to define the coding and look a modern website.

So what does having a modern website mean to you? It means more visitors and customers who want your offerings. It really is that simple.

Coding Modernization:

Having modern coded websites is extremely important. This is because if your website is not coded properly, many platforms either will not see your website or will display your website in a form that was not intended. In the past few years more and more browsers are being used. It's not just Internet Explorer anymore. Even so there are many different versions of Internet Explorer which display websites differently.

Here are some consequences of having an older website:

• You could be losing up to 18% of all visitors because they cannot see your website (And this number is growing rapidly).
• Your website could look sloppy because of different platforms. In some cases up to 40% of your visitors could be seeing your website differently than intended.

The second bullet point above might not sound bad, but when you are looking at what happens it can make your website look very sloppy. That could also conveys a negative unprofessional mental image for your organization.
